Also has anyone noticed something different about most of the songs in newer titles?

They tend to be very bubbly, which is weird, considering the themes in older titles for things like bosses for example used to be more threatening sounding

DDD was whimsical anyway

i don't know if I like whimsical boss themes

I always thought a boss is supposed to sound scary

life is pretty whimsical

like to me THIS is a boss theme

I don't think every boss theme should be intimidating or scary

well no it has to fit the mood obviously

but I think about how heartless boss themes in other titles have always been intimidating outside of Rowdy rumble(which is more like petes theme)

i forgot about rowdy rumble, that's a weird song

its a matter of taste obviously, but when I played KH3 bosses and heard the heartless theme, it didn't really give me the epic fight feeling I usually get from KH bosses

Hmm, the KH3 boss themes were a bit threatening. Boss Theme 1 was adventurous, Boss Theme 2 was forgettable kinda techno and Boss Theme 3 was a straight up banger

Don't get where the whimsical feeling is coming from

I'm also more specifically talking about the general boss themes, not like the ones for a specific fight

like the snake tree, or spaceship

It's not that the themes are bad, but as a final boss for a world, I feel like 2/3 don't thematically fit
