It's easy to say something feels more like a handheld experience when it's already on handheld

That's just a bunch of feelings

Yeah, you're arguing for the default

Ah sorry

"more of a handheld experience"

eh what have I done it's too late for this shit, imma go pray

Praying won't save you now

laughsinnomura

I shouldn't be here either, I said I wouldn't engage much here anymore

I mean..I'd argue a lot of the KH games, starting from KH1, would be great on handheld actually. Even if they are console games, KH in general just feels like it'd be a great "on the go" thing, and even if you can argue "well if this were made on console, it'd be better" due to less limitations, sometimes it doesn't mean for a lot, I think, because sometimes things when put on a console are like "ehhh... I can't play this at all times" or, sometimes things are like "I can't really play this on the go for a burst of several minutes because it's too long/cutscenes are big"

But obviously there's more on that topic than can capture so..

And I don't think KH is the best candidate for this ah

For this argument, considering how divisive handheld v. console is

In that case why aren't all games made for "on the go" gaming, as undoubtedly that sentiment carries water for just about any game ever created

Sacrificing more content just for portability is not one I'm keen on doing

I don't hink Senua is... really an on the go experience eh

I have no idea what that is so I'll take your word for it

But nonetheless, more than less games fit your criteria

Senua's Sacrifice, an AA game made by an indie studio who was basically sending a message to the industry as well as awareness about anxiety and mental illness

it basically had the quality of an AAA game, also

Right, but still, if its about fitting the handheld experience of playing a game everywhere frankly I just don't think that's important

If bbs was on ps2/3 it would have command menu

It would have more ff characters

The subplot of radiant garden falling to darkness would have been more explored

Yeah.. tokyo by that point was not on KH

They only made command deck because of the psps limitations

i for one

perfer handheld waaay more

which is why i love the switch

"In that case why aren't all games made for "on the go" gaming" quid 2019 Yes plz

I think can make deck can work if the ENTIRE game was built around it, not just mobs

Because bosses suck in those games since you cant use about 80% of your commands unless you want to get hit because the cast times are too sliw

Like if the system was built around using commands to beat bosses, like for example if certain bosses were weaker to certain commands than there's be a level of strategy to approaching them

Even then, it brings up the issue of player agency

For example what if we got a ability that read enemy weaknesses as a command

And the game have it to the player after say making it through the first World

I just realised

Davy Jones doesn't even use a sword on his fight

For goodness sake
