Not that it's his nature as such, just that he is okay with it

What training? The only one who got abused in BBS was Ventus

Vanitas was never showed to be

Xehanort's abuse of Vanitas was solely for the point of raising his negative emotions

Xehanort abusing vanitas makes sense considering he abused Ventus

We have no idea that happened in the game. Everything between those two except for talking about their next plans said nothing on their relationship

he'd even let Vanitas watch Ventus bond with Aqua and Terra, to also make him jealous of Ventus

Or he did it to keep an eye on Ven and see what he does

That does not mean he was abused

But that also doesn't mean he couldn't have been abused

If there is nothing indicating it, why would you think he is?

Well, see, let me tell you this ditty of how victims kinda just have to act as they would around their abusers..

DEspite being abused... You're right.. this doesn't mean he wasn't abused

But to say "if there's nothing indicating it..." is.. ignoring the fact that abuse is not always obvious

Because in a story someone created, there are hints or some indication it happened. There is literally nothing for this when it comes to Vanitas.

In the game

But there was never any mention of abuse to Vanitas.

Aside from the novel of course.

It sucks it happens in real life, I have experience with it. But when it comes to a story someone created, there is a hint or some obvious way to say it happened

Well, like Arthur said.. it only makes sense that since he basicaly absued VEntus to an extent

I mean Ventus got abused by Xehanort in the training scene we got

We were shown that it happened to Ventus, not with Vanitas

Or he didn't because Vanitas was made of pure darkness and that's what he wanted

Ventus was scared so Xehanort let him get hurt

It's a two way street

He makes vanitas but likely trained him to be ruthless from the empty shell he was

You can't assume something like this if there was no indication of it

Also did so through abuse most likely

That's kinda what I was saying... lol

You're saying it's not canon and that there's no indicator of it.. but you can't say that's not the case either

There really doesn't seem to be much of an indication of abuse if you focus solely on the games
