KH's writing is all about throwing you into a weird af situation and making you invested so you feel the emotional impact

But where's the emotional impact on a character you barely get insight on. All you see Roxas go through in those 3 hours is that he has a past that no one is telling you about and he's in a virtual world. Then after that every other antagonist mentions Roxas but not the reason why

I think it does hit good emotional beats

but, the problem is it's not a weird situation, it's a situation that doesn't make sense, I don't understand roxas, what he is what he does who he is, when we reach that point of the kh2 roxas scene you're like uuuuuuuuh? ok guess he's dead

plus not having the fight with that hurt the scene even more
