You know what a better example is?

Everybody knows this season isn't the last but the writers have been saying that this will be a conclusion to everything that came before so everyone is expecting fan favourites to come back, one last time because every knows the seasons after are gonna have mostly new cast.

And then it turns out this season was mostly filler, didn't bring back most sub plots for conclusion and the ones that did happen are all implied off screen, but it tells you that everyone is happy now so we can all move on. That's what this is.

You know what, at this point all I can picture when I think of Nomura writing the Kingdom Hearts plot is the meme with the dog in the house on fire saying "this is fine"
