Like, imagine trying to spoil KH3

"Sora dies! But he will come back next game"

"Every character came back!"
"Wow, I was totally not expecting that! That's poggers, it really is!"

The only twist you can actually spoil is Xigbar being Luxu

That was spoiled to on a non kh thing cuz ofc everyone was talking about it when the jp one came out

"Wow, that's cool. But for what reason? What are the consequences? How does it alter the story?"
"Idk, he rescues Ansem the Wise and that's it"

Doesn't really matter that he or she comes back tho, it's still a spoiler. Also it depends on how you say it. If you say it like you did, then yeah the impact of it does go away but if you just said "Sora dies" then the way the spoiler was given changes it.

Let's use One Piece as an example:
Ace dies compared to Ace dies because he was an idiot going against orders

"We don't actually see Sora die by the way"
"lol, stop being dumb, there is no way we actually don't get to see the main character dying you foo- oh"

One takes away the impact from the other and the context of it

Well, sorry if Ace dying had an impact while Sora dying may as well be a comedy bit
