7 new hearts is excusable

Everything UX related, went nowhere

It's a failsafe that was not necessary

I feel like the 7 new hearts is insulting in a way

Sure we know that shit is being built up for another time but does that excuse all of it within kh3??

Who knows

its like "oh they want to do the kh1 thing again" and then they dont follow up with the part where they actually kidnap them

So much of kh3 honestly felt like it was trying to remind us of kh1 for some reason because kh1 is beloved for being so simplistic

He said KH3 didn't need a midgame break ?

it so insignificant the entire endgame doesnt mention the seven new hearts once

You can’t just retread those elements all of a sudden

The necessity argument is always insufferable to me

Because you can excuse so many things by arguing for a lack of necessity

The necessity argument is defeated with 2 words

Disney worlds

They could’ve significantly mattered but they didn’t

Yeah i've always felt the worlds in the game can matter and in some games do

I think it's so interesting how he's going about it

DDD managed to have worlds that mattered, that had a theme

Not even so much as a single line of dialogue that could even be used in their defense to make the player believe that they had ANY hand in the power of waking

Chain of memories despite being a retread, had a theme to each world involving memories

Do you know how far a single line would go to try and explain a lot of things and they just don’t have anything sometimes

It’s like doing a damn essay and just ignoring the questions that are only slightly difficult while doing the hard or convoluted ones

Because, see, the midgame argument is not that it would make the story itself better, but rather improve the pacing of the game.

But he's saying that the KH3 story didn't call for a midgame break, which it obviously doesn't since it was not written with one in mind. He's arguing a point no one is making

I have yet to see someone that didn’t enjoy SOMETHING out of that segment

that segment was pure gold
