the ps4 version is just the best performing and most reliable one

funny story actually

Ys VIII is the first game to be localized under a different company, NISA

and the localization had so many issues, game had a terrible launch

the localization was awful, so they actually re-hired the voice cast and localization team and redid the entire translation after release

since the fans got pretty upset

the switch version was worse, the first copies of that were broken. And the PC version would crash your computer

all versions are fine now though
