They kind of address that as Joker's origin in other comics because in Death of the Family, one of the first places Batman goes while retracing their steps is the chemical vat

And batman notes that's where it all happened

While he is in the vat he says that whatever is in this should have killed him but somehow he survived

Killing Joke was btw insanely PepeHands for me

I love that in the Killing Joke, the joker and batman are constantly talking about how one day they are going to kill each other

The ending left it in a moment where you could believe it happened too

John Carpenter recently wrote a Joker one-shot, which was a pretty fun read

Honestly the Killing joke has such an ambiguous ending for both of them it could've gone either way

I like to think Batman didnt kill him, mostly because he talks about how Joker Failed to break Commisioner Gordon and why he couldnt break him
