I don't really get how Pokemon gets away with releasing 2 nearly identical versions of the same game

same way the other games like megaman battle network

or the football one or the other monster collect'ems do

Or all the different Sonic racing games that are pretty much the same

And no, Sonic racing games are not the same, TSR was just a step backwards which made it feel exactly like the first ASR

Team sonic is a step down, removing the sega stuff made it more generic

The team stuff is cool, but the tracks are kinda boring overall

What if the KH games got 2 versions on release and the only difference was Sora's keyblades looking different

Not only that but they missed the chance to add more characters
