Is the Square Enix account used to log into FF XIV not the same as the one used for your Square Enix profile (the one where you can add your games via the code in the box)?

yeah I think it is

I can log into the SE store with my ffxiv account

Because I wasn’t able to log in with my account, it keeps throwing an error

When I request a new password it says no account is linked to this email address
