And the SE store in general

FF15 alone made me distrust SE in general from now on, and FF14 made me annoyed at them for other reasons

ff15, regardless of how it is now, was the equivalent of an EA game with how its content was parsed throughout its life cycle

none of the dlc in ff15 should've been paid. It could've been worse since some of it was free, but the bigger parts that should've been free were locked behind a paywall

And limited-time VIP (paid) content in their gachas w/ terrible rates

it was priced fairly, it had a story mode and a fair amount of content

but 3 and 5 got gimped so hard

and their prices were way too high

The new ones lack polish or quality or content. Some of the animations are just not what a full priced game should be asking you to pay for.

4 was decently made and as much as it was just milking that title in particular it was actually alright

it had a pretty okay story mode that was rather long for what it was
