The us has 2 million people in the service and a mandatory draft is basically unnecessary

The sheer number of automated machines and high tech weapon the us has makes it highly unlikely Iran would start something

There's also standards for who's let in the army and they typically avoid the only sons of a family for drafts.

I understand why they would, but that's be fighting a losing battle and it seems uneccesary

And neither hold stake in Iran so there is no way they'd intervene in any feud between Iran and the U.S.
