Did you talk to everyone in xanadu

up until chapter 4

ah okay

trails games have far more dialogue with NPCs so good luck with that. Xanadu was more like a trails lite in terms of dialogue

i don't actually recommend talking to everyone though. Will slowly drive you mad

and you'll forget like half of them anyway

yeah so i've heard

i just kinda cherry pick it

be sure to remember some particular NPCs who appear in the next 5 games

WHICH IS WHY
i like how new tales games have done it where it tells you if an NPC has something to say and they have a gray box over their head if they are done talking

thankfully the trails games have turbo

so you don't have to stress too much

You never know what goodies you can get, though. Plus, I imagine there were nice dialogue treats the team added. It's a bit of a habit from Pokémon game to interact w/ anyone and anything.

so the localization team did that

they gave the treasure chests dialogue for when you examine them after opening them

there's even a steam achievement for doing that to all of them

Hell Yeah

and in the third sky game

there's stories scattered throughout the treasure chests

so they get fake lore

oh like the moogle quest in IX

there are also actually book series in the trails games

that are collectibles, I don't remember all of them

but they branch out literature in the regions and some characters

not required though one book in the later games is sorta important

you really gotta take your time in the sky games because unlike cold steel as I've said before

replaying them is not fun

I love how steam doesn't properly download its games.

I deleted my Download Cache. It should work now, but unfortunately I have to install it again. I had the same problem with FFXV. Luckily this time I don't have to download 100gb again
