Disney likely would pull the same shit they'd pull with Sora in WoFF.

Ask Nintendo for a ridiculous sum of cash for Sora, etc, compared to what most third parties offer during the negotiation process, etc.

Probably got to a point where Nintendo, logistically and financially, saw the writing on the wall that they believed it was not feasible to pursue Sora.

I can see Disney being a bit wonky about the music.
