He barely gave a second thought what happened to the others

thats simply because they had to rush the finale, he likely wouldve said goodbye to them, the creator said so himself

I can't really change my mind on this if the show never addressed it

In 5 years the creator can change his mind and say Jack didn't give a shit about them, but that doesn't matter

genndy was aiming to make this finale into a full length feature film released in theaters, but adult swim gave him 10 episodes to do the ending

The context of what the show gave is the only thing I can take as a fact

thing is genndy overall wanted to do that, but he just couldnt

that was the plan at that point

I tend to look at it like, if there was a plan, what changed? if there wasnt a plan, was there even ideas for it?

There are always plans, but I can't take the plans as to what I feel the finale did. I judge the series based on what that gave me.

There is always another ending that was planned but never went through

but if the series is out of the creators control, can you really blame him?

I am not blaming him

But that doesn't mean I can't dislike what the show gave me

i heard somthing similar happend with the bleach show

Apparently he was forced to continue

He didn't want to do the last arc

the hardest part of any series is ending it

Tons of series I have liked that have made me sad because of the ending, and not in a good way

The one that infuriated me the most was Katekyo Hitman Reborn

Ohhhh man, that ending was just a giant slap in the face and then spit at you while you are down

"By the time we got to [episode] ten, we edited so much out. We had a joke of Aku being a sports announcer interviewing himself about how he feels finally killing Jack. It was a much bigger deal and people all over the world are watching but it got to be too much. At the end of the day, we realized it should have been an hour and a half movie." this is what genndy had to say about the ending

i have to say the finale is not what he or anyone else wanted for the series it seems

Which is fine, plans change and I am not blaming them for that

i still think the shows ending is not great too

But the ending that was given is a very cynical ending and not in a good way, and whatever they say in an interview can't change that for me

it just kind of forces the viewer to come to their own conclusions, which wasnt good in alot of ways

for the first time in the series, the show didnt show us the viewer enough

this show is all about showing rather than telling the story directly, but this ending was just not that

having blanket statements by characters just to try and establish something before the end of the show, cutting away from things quickly because they only have a few minutes left, it was all not good.
