Regardless of terminology we're on the same page I'm pretty sure

best example of a remake is evil dead (2012) where things play out the same but end differently

a remake involves a lot more effort
a remaster essentially update what already exists (think going from PS2 to HD)

vs a Remake is what VIIR is

a reimagining of a classic

remake is same characters same locations just different story beats and new characters added in and new take on the story and adding things in they didnt have the chance to do in the original verison more lore buliding and etc. remaster is just better visual. reimagined is same characters same backstory and same combat just prettied up and all that

you typically dont see reimagined being marketed tho

remake and remaster is what you most commonly see

in disney films you do but for most cases like this no
