Persona 3 made the Persona upgrades happen through major story moments

What I hated was that the sidestories meant jackshit for the main game

4 and 5 it only happens in Social Links

And was a deep dive into his character

Ryuji had such a personal sidestory

And the main story just threw that out the window

And made him dumb as a brick

I say and a lot

Yeah unfortunately social in progress does not carry over to the main story

It would be pretty cool if it changed dialogue and stuff

Oh yeah one more thing I hated about Makoto

The moment she joined, they stopped doing hijinks when stealing a treasure

The first two dungeons were hilarious when the group tried to steal the treasure and fail miserably

Aaaaand then Makoto joined and that went out the window too

What happened in the recent MHA manga chapter

I mean I took that as more of them being taking this much more seriously especially with the trailers and stuff I was hoping it would go more in a Persona 2 Direction and it sort of got more serious like that kinda
