It's the time placement that is throwing things off

What does that matter when ezio never learned to be one until later in the game. He was just a brute street fighter, and bayek was a gladiator .

game looks awesome but imo they should stop calling it assassins creed. they could easily rename it.

Why? It's not in a different timeline. It's like saying take Final Fantasy out of FF XV because it doesn't use turn based like in the old days

Except anything remotely that used to be about AC isn't there anymore.

The modern day story means jackshit, it's obvious Ubisoft just wants to focus on the history stuff

Them changing the whole combat to more action oriented and neglecting the stealth aspect is another

The RPG stuff just does not work for a series like this

The ancient civilization is just an afterthought

They don't want to even write a proper character anymore, now it's just choose your own story

Which shouldn't even be a thing when you are seeing the memories of an ancestor

It's clear that Ubisoft just wants to do their own thing, which is fair

But using the AC name just to prop them up does nothing other than to harm the series name and what it used to be

is it really harming it if it sells that much

I guess that's fair

It's definitely alienating to the people who loved the old games

maybe what you really want is another game like the original ACs

I am not saying the new ones are bad

They are great games

This guy is not an assassin. He's a viking that brutally murders his enemy on the battlefield. Assassins are people who sneak around and secretly kill people. It's the freaking opposite
