i thought the movie did a great job of showing gotham as a huge mess in the 1970s

which is appropriate because thats what the inner city of new york city was like back then

people were terrified to stay in the city after dark if they worked in the city in the 1970s

its was disgusting

new york has cleaned it self up in the last 50 years

its not even in the top 10 worst polluted cities in the united states anymore

1970s were also plagued by people not giving mental illness patients places to stay

i feel like the movie was going for a different kind of joker

one who was already a broken person

but if we had just a couple of more events which broke him even more, it would have been the icing on the cake

I agree that he wasnt being joker just long enough in the movie

So like the beginning and first few events are great

but the turning point onwards it's almost a race to the end imo

just a few more events after the mid to late turning point would have really sold it more

not saying that it has to be Heath ledger joker mind you

the final scenes really nailed it I think

even the final shot of the movie opened up so much more to think about without impeding on the idea that

this all happened, but then again, maybe it didnt

i really like how after he

kills murry he scares gary and it made me laugh and i felt bad for laughing after seeing a horrible murder

I think its kind of scary some people liked the joker by the end of the film

i dont think they understood what we were supposed to feel towards him

so interesting thing about that Xylek
a lot of people our age are lowkey sensitized by a lot of that stuff given what we've seen in the world/internet
Think Newgrounds stuff

so younger kids felt all over the place while a lot of us were like "oh hey cool. nice writing"
