Yeah like, got any experience? Soft skills? Things that you did that show you truly are interested in your field?

Well I’ve done a semester long sea based program learning about interactions between fish species and how to properly identify fish biologies and did an internship that involved me studying sting rays and sharks through video recordings

I performed well in environmental toxicology, technical writing and communication, maritime history, and other stuff

Companies do look at the GPA as well, but if you got other things like internships or co-ops, or research those can vastly boost you more than your grades ever could

On top of showing that you have interest in the company and your personality gels well with what they are looking for

I’ve been a member of my school’s marine science and environmental conservatory clubs
