What is the point of muting yourself and muting the sound output in VC, Pachi?

i remember being very nervous at first, but then the VC that i frequent i would go daily and then it became like a chill place where i can talk or just hear noise in the background

I mean ill give it a go if we actually want to do these impressions.

I did a podcast with 3 internet people I barely knew, yet doing it here seems worse for some reason haha
