hey, now that my job pay me well my wallet will be fine with crying

no kh stuff in 2021, did that mean releases or news as well?

no releases and no major announcements is what i believe was said

2022 is when we'll hear something next for the 20th anniversary

but either way I'm sure whatever they've got stirring up for 20th anni in 2022 won't be announced and then wait years for it. i think it's a big project they've been working on for a bit that should be ready for announce and release in 2022

agreed! i think they also found the backlash from KH3 marketing to be ahem helpful to say the least

i was hoping that bit just meant no releases when i first read the interview but if it's no news either imma crie

you're probably right

but yeah it'd be a sad dry year of no KH in 2021

perfect time to catch up on other JRPGs

indeed! proceeds to replay the entire series for the nth time

They could announce something in early 2022 and still release it later that year.

that's what i believe to be the most likely

ive been hammering away at the Falcom games in the meantime

yeah i was thinking announce late 2021 and release in 2022 but if we also get no news an early 22 announcement is just as likely

One way that could be commemorative the year they reach the twentieth anniversary

I guess we're going to have No News November then (save for basic KHUx and KHDR updates). seasalt_shinji

its nice though. They've been dishing out kh content for so long that a break is good for them, especially considering the end of the saga is a perfect place to have a little break

even if it's only a break on our end

they're probably still working hard on whatever projects they've got

i agree, it's good to take at least 1 year off and just work on whatever is next without all the hype

And time to work on other franchises or take a break for rushed development and brainstorming

and they are gonna try their hardest to make whatever comes out in 2022 good
be it KH4 or ReKH1 or whatever

would be cool to have a banging "comeback" for the next saga but we already know they're planning a few games before a numbered title so it won't have as big of an impact on mainstream outlets for sure lol

so long as they put time and effort to make it look and play well, it'll work out I feel

as harsh as this fanbase is on the non numbered titles, they do hold a special place in this series

oh yeah for sure. i just meant more along the lines of hitting us with a decent dryspell only to come back full force with ads and such for the next saga would have been fun to see. we know they dont do as big of a marketing play with the side games so while those release it doesnt have the same oomph as a "NEXT SAGA BEGINS NOW" thing, idrk how to explain it lmao

Yeah the transition from one saga into the next isn’t being handled as well as it probably could tbh
