Controversial opinion, but I also really like what Deltarune did with its combat

Yeah I get that. And while I feel that turn-based is somewhat underappreciated, I can enjoy action-focused combat if it's done well. And not, y'know, a Warriors game.

Don't get me wrong, I get the appeal, but I do not think the DW style of combat suits Persona AT ALL.

I personally really liked how FF7R did combat and I hope something similar comes back for XVI. XV left me just unmotivated

7R is the future of turnbsed, or rather should be

it's such a good hybrid

Oh well. At least I still have Persona Q2, which to this day remains one of my favorite turn-based combat systems of all time!

oh yeah there is also the Legend of Heroes series which has turn based

It's a shame the Etryian Odyssey series died with the 3DS. Because I love me a good turn-based dungeon crawler.

Hell, Coded got me somewhat excited. I would pay good money to see a legit KH dungeon crawler that isn't COM.

i want it to be more arpg than atb but if they want to appease both arpg and tb fans i guess this hybrid system can be good

I doubt we'll see it in mainline FF

they did say mainline ff will always be arpg going forward

Interpret this fact how you will, but I'm the type of guy that will always switch to wait mode if given the option. I hate being pressured into making a strategic decision.
