Anyone here watch Cracking the Cryptic?

I've been watching them for a bit and I finally decided I wanted to try mt hand at these non traditional sudoku puzzles so I bought one of their apps today

the extra rules im playing with range from non consecutive, knights move, kings move, sandwich, and some others

non consecutive rule being where adjacent cells cannot be consecutive numbers

knights/kings move being the numbers that are a knights/kings move away cannot be the same

etc

theres a really cool one called Thermo

where there are some lines drawn on with a bubble on one end. the bubble has to be the smallest number while the end has to be highest, all in order

while still applying the regular rules

there's a puzzle that has a unique solution and you're only given 2 numbers to begin with

and thats bc of all these rules

its so interesting

when i first tried a thermo puzzle, it gave me a thermometer with 5 empty cells. at first i was stumped for the longest time and then i realized bc of non consecutive rule as well, the only possible answers on that line was 1 3 5 7 9 and everything else fell into place afterward

it'd be fun to code up a solver for these and implement the constraint logic
