I would have to find a repliku one unless I'm doing riku again.

I can draw it myself

Vanitas meets 7/8 of the 9 symptoms of BPD.

Love the typing sounds

Some of which are too perfect.

The only thing he doesn’t qualify for is “Fear of Abandonment”.

Which is so firetrucking sad because he doesn’t fear being abandoned, he knows it’s inevitable.

I need to go on a rant for 5 seconds.

It's about Vanitas.

I'm asking bc it's related to psychology and I don't want to seem rude or an ass.

OKay so.

Vanitas, just based on the evidence, is really good rep for BDP. He has a lot of symptoms and openly displays them throughout the novel and games. He might not have been written with that in mind, but it's very good and thought through. The problem lies in him being an antagonist and not given the chance to really thrive. I have a good feeling he'll become important, maybe not a hero but maybe a protag, and they can really flesh out his personality outside of, "Terribly lonely, ruthless, and violent".

If his character is written and taken care of properly in the next arc, he has the potential to be REALLY GOOD BPD-coded representation. Even if he's not a good-good guy, he could be a good BPD-code protagonist/main/anti-hero character in the series.

The main issue is, it's really easy to firetruck up something like this. And, as he stands right now, he's good/decent rep. Genuinely, it's just he's an antagonist, which good lead to the shitty trope of "Villain has [insert mental illness here], which means mental illness = bad".

Jesus my hands are firetrucking cold.

Welcome back to "Wyn should have been a psyche major" staring Me. Wyn. The idiot with too many interests.

Funnily enough, a lot of Vanitas's qualifications are circumstantial, but still hold water because they affect him greatly and it's just :chefskiss:

IDK man. Vanitas is great.
