From what I hear duolingo is pretty mid for learning languages for the first time

I spedran duolingo Chinese and the example sentences sounded unnatural like it’s not how you would speak in the actual language

I already know “enough” Chinese but I only know simplified so

For me, what's annoying is how much kanji there is 💀

Oh well wait till you see Chinese

I'm intermediate level but it's still so frustrasting

And the hilarious thing is even the Japanese struggle with kanji 💀

I love visiting Japan and unconsciously thinking the signs are in Chinese and suddenly wondering why everything turned into scribbles halfway through
