I wonder if you're English for text and speaking is great on its own or if you use a translator.

I chat with other people foreign to the U.S. that have other primary first tongues and use translators.

I don't use a translator because it takes too much time. I only used deepl during my bachelor's degree for my papers

I wasn't insulting it. Your English is very understandable and actually pretty good and better than a lot of people we have here in the states that have English as their first language. I just wondered since your first language is German. English is a difficult language to learn if one is not familiar w/ it. We even have words that have ough in them that have so many different sounds.

it's honestly easier than german. In german we have 3 words for "the" alone

which are "der/die/das"

I wrote most of my papers in english instead of german because grammar and spelling errors can hurt your grades

and even Microsoft word autocorrect has sometimes issues to find errors in the german language
