donald duck was officially discharged at the rank of sergeant meaning he outranks 50% of soldiers in the current us army

Canonically he served in world War 2, but he went into the service again during Duck Tales Classic which aired in 1987, when Regan was knee deep Middle Eastern conflicts

With duck tales ending in 90, which means he got out possibly right before the Gulf War kicked off

which of course implies to me that Donald was possibly responsible for the normalizing or the Petro-dollar currency that the modern day oil industry runs by, natrually.

The reboot more or less kinda was like retconning that but still had him be a ww2 navy vet
