but i dont think mobile gaming shouldve ever taken off

I mean I loved a lot of smart phone games

Well, its not inherently bad
Puzzle games are fantastic on mobile
But having a full RPG... Yeah maybe not haha

Like angry birds for instance, it's mindless fun

There's some good mobile games here and there, still

Some that are just pay once and yer good

But a lot of them these days are literally gambling addiction enablers

Though, the reason why mobile gaming has taken off is probably cause of factors like.. the portability and tthe simplicy of just.. being able to take out your phone and.. play a couple minutes or whatever of Angry Birds(As an example)

And then simply putting your phone away when your satisfied

give players a fun and awesome experience instead of a dumb cash grab and I'm ok with mobile games

And there's a lot more at play there, obviously

I'm glad I'm not the kinda gamer who enjoys portability in games. There's a high chance I could've fallen victim to gacha

I.e cookie clicker and Gatcha games are just a big no no
Puzzle games and the sort are nice

Well

It's more so people just get tempted as hell

i love playing hearthstone on my phone but the game is so damn locked behind spending rl money

Cause like, the gameboy - 3DS was a great Era of games and they always felt fun to ay wherever you were

And the switch does a good combo of both

It's what Goldy said.. it's not so much being a big fan of portability that makes you fall victim, it's more the temptation and how easy it is to do it

it's that cycle of "Oooh, what if I get this shiny thing?" that people fall into
