Well like a provisional drivers licence you can get online easily enough. And then obviously you go through the theory and practical drivers test for the proper one

i had to go back and forth in the DMV

but the lady told me i could skip the line and just come up to her

so it didn't tale me long

They print out a provisional license on paper to use until the real one arrives in the mail.

Some workers in DMVs here can be nasty, so it's not really worth 7 hours LOL
