i think MMOs should have a 5-6 button rotation

with 2-4 big cooldowns

that's kind of what Dragoon is

Rotations in FFXIV aren't that long tho, connah

And some classes have two types of rotation phases, usually, both short

just heal and do whatever you want when you want

I haven't started machinist yet but I want to just to see how bad it is in its current state

No, not really

Because they're simple

Let's take Red Mage for example

Red Mage has two, short button rotations..

One for caster phase

The other for melee phase

yea honestly connah there is nothing wrong with rotations in FF. it's basically the same concept as any older MMO. with ESO and GW2 being the exceptions

Literally, both are only 4 buttons long

As he plays Red Mage

the simplest jobs are Red Mage Dragoon and Samurai

yup yup. red mage your rotation is swapping between 2 different spell types

it's fun

I add Black Mage in there too

black mage is super easy rotation

i have issues with the amount of buttons and rotations

The amount of buttons/skills =/= not simple

well that's what i'm saying connah. older mmos have alwaysss had too many buttons

i personally don't like having that much button clutter

but at the same time you can pick and choose your own build

in FF14 you cant

that's partly what I like about 14 to be honest

I'm not a fan of horizontal progression

not realllyyyyy like with wow if you want to be viable you basically HAVE to pick certain skills
