See I always favour gameplay

I wouldn't want story to come at the expense of gameplay

But gameplay at the expense of story, while not ideal, I don't mind so much

but at the same time, some people can get hooked onto a story more than the gameplay and use the gameplay to drive the lore more

to where even an easy game here and there doesnt matter a whole lot so long as you got something out of it

Automata just hits all the right notes

so far the best story games I have played are Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5. The story was so damn good that I cared more about the story than I do normally

In the first NieR, the fact that at some ppl if you lvl up enough that you’re essentially a bully just drives the story for me greatly

chapter in p5 was a huge disappointment

Because at the end of the day in the first NieR, you basically because a monster essentially

And after the first route/ending, you get that feeling you did something wrong

the story of witcher 3 was also a main driver for me bc imo the gameplay is awful due to the lack of interesting combat mechanics and the lack of difficulty

Story if Witcher 3 is what keeps me from playing consistently

i think it's well written but I wish Ciri would be the main character instead of Geralt

i wonder what new JRPG IPs will begin to do in the future
Cause games like the Alliance Alive while different in gameplay didnt have the most unique story

it was a great game story and gameplay wise, but it was nothing to write home about either
