So people get really crazy into anime and have a lot of feelings for them
So their passion leads to a lot of wild emotions and chats as you see

Then there is the fact as Ama said that Animation comes off as being for children when in reality they are just shows that depending on your genre anyone can watch.

TLDR: People have a lot of passion for anime and as such they come off that way and if you dont follow the same passions you get a lot of crazy conversations
