The actor the have visually is perfect.

It captures that creepy killer clown look that captures the “best of” from the previous live action Jokers.

the shot of him in the elevator at the end was creepy as hell

I like the joker and all, but I don't think I want to see him as a normal dude for 3/4 of a film

hands down Phoenix is going to beat Ledger's joker... and i loved the dark knight! so i am very excited for this film

Ledger is a legend and so far my favorite movie adaptation of the Joker don't get me wrong. But he never really felt like the kinda goofy version of the joker from the cartoon or the super edgy dark version from like death of the family or even the Arkham games. And I personally love the joker in his dark edgy adaptations. like Ledger was pretty dark, sure. But i feel with Phoenix we are going to get that truly insane side I been hoping for!
