Yeah

Wasn't that hard

Took a while before I figured how to do the second phase tho

I am actually done with two now

thisll be an interesting read

Impact of FFXV?

Yeah, taking Nomura's Pride and joy and turning it into a mess is quite an impact

theres an interesting and concerning quote here

"And for that reason, we need to always innovate with those. We believe that franchises and IP are really living creatures. You have to always imbue them with whatever is the latest or the most innovative that matches that particular era, or else they're going to die. And that's something I think applies both to new pieces of IP and also to our existing franchises."

that worrys me

it gives off the impression that SE dont make games for what they think players will enjoy/find fun, they make games based off of what is new and trendy

Not that worrying.. there’s franchises that work with that all the time

its worrying to me because when i read that all i thought was "well, FF will never go back to turn based2

I mean.. that’s fine. I like turn-based, love it even when it feels good to do

But I’m not about to worry and go wild at the thought of “no more turn-based mainline FF”

right... but FFXV wasnt that good of a video game

and thats the only example of how FF could be in the future

u have the remake

the gameplay of that already looks leagues betetr than XV's

eh, i wouldnt compare those 2

FF7R still has alot that stops it from going full action

right but not fully

The tactical mode is there for those who likely want to slow things down, if you refer to that

As for FF7R’s treatment, they stated they’re treating it as the next mainline

So I think that kinda goes against the “Look at FFXV”

which means 16 is basically far away

7 remake going to be rebranded as 16 calling it now

Honestly I hope that they never do this "we don't know how long the game will be" thing ever again, even if FF7R looks great

This is likely only for FF7R

Though FF mainline is no stranger to sequels anyway

Once the precedent is set, who knows what'll happen?

It's not a sequel though, it's one game

Being released sporadically

Right.. Not that different though, admittedly, to a direct comparison such as FFXIII, which are all one long story together

Or X/X-2

There's a ton of difference though, they weren't planned haphazardly, I can't speak for 13 but X definitely wasn't half a game

Or a third

10 wasnt even a quarter of a game
