FFXIV isn't necessarily trying to innovate or be different from other MMOs

Yeah no MMOs are right now they're all stagnant

Merely, it is the usual MMO stuff.. but polished

ffxiv does something that blizzard doesn't do. instead of innovating things, it does the things it does, very well

and given some thought, as well as obvious passion

they kind of did that with the Zulian tiger mount... that was removed and i have it... so i was always like "awww shittt look at this cool mount!" and then one day... they added it to the black market auction house for gold cap... like firetruck that shit...

that's why the older WoW expansions until MoP are very good compared to all expansions after MoP. bc blizzard did the same things but from expansion to expansion better

I don't think anyone would tell you that FFXIV is "the most innovative experience ever".. they'd simply tell you it's one of the most fun and polished

i can go up to any similar aged gamer and say "Arthas" "Deathwing" and other words and theyll know exactly what im talking about
