I have a short story for you

So

Today was dead at work, meaning there literally were no customers. So I was just chilling, singing along to whatever song was playing in the store, and this guy comes up at the register. So, I went and scanned his item and all of a sudden he was like:

"You should leave your hair down more, you're very pretty."
Me: "Haha, aw thanks. It felt like a good day to leave it down."
he then proceeds to stare at me
Me: awkwardly continues looking at the screen "uh so pick which type of receipt you would like..."

And he did as he was told but then said something that I couldn't understand cause he kinda mumbled, but then he smiled so I assumed he was complimenting me again or some shit idk and then he said "Don't tell your boyfriend I said that."

And I legit did not know what to even say so I just awkwardly laughed...i didn't want to say that I don't have a boyfriend cause who knows what he would have said next..
