I finished Astral Chain btw

Gameplay 9.5/10, Music 8/10, Story 4-5/10

and considering other parts of the game I would rate it 8.5/10

so far it's the best action game for me this year, while kh3 got a 8/10 and dmc 5 a 7/10

but atm I'm not sure if i would call it an action game

it's a hybrid of arpg, action game and action adventure

the story is sadly very predictable, but for games like this the story doesn't matter for me

The combat is very impressive, the game has a lot of cool mechanics

I just wish the game had less cutscenes and story and more gameplay

It's a JRPG so the story means a lot to me, and it's been failing on that front

Good gameplay doesn't absolve the numerous other faults I have with it

I hope they are doing a sequel or another game with the same combat

the legion system is so cool

the combat designer really knows his stuff

Yeah it does feel that way

it doesn't feel good if you have 10 minutes of insanely good gameplay and then 30 minutes of cutscenes

I've honestly been skipping through dialogue now

I feel like they talk super slow too

platnium games is not one to have amazing stories to be honest
