so I just put into an environmental police officer job

I'm pretty excited about it

I mean I still have to take the tests

the many many tests

the whole process takes like at least 2 years

So, what is the situation in the meantime then?

I study until october until I take the written exam, then I train and get myself ready for another year to year and a half for the physical part of the test and then I get put into a 6 month bootcamp in upstate new york and then I get to be a trainee

That seems nightmarish.

I mean it is for the opprotunity to serve and protect the people and the environment we live in so I guess its got to be pretty rigorous

We even train in how to save someone from river rapids

the thing that keeps people away from the postition the most is the fact that by the time you get the opprotunity to take the physical examination, you might already have a completely different job

It seems like one would be too preoccupied w/ all the training to hold another job, though.
