someone pointed out the final scene of Luxu in Back Cover you can actually see a strand of hair flowing in the wind. I too have seen it now and the connection it has...

 

||There were originally 13 primordial Darknesses. The Master caused the events of Chi to draw himself and his disciples into darkness so their impossibly strong hearts would attract the attention of the seven strongest Darknesses, and seal them away within themselves. The remaining six would be drawn into Data Daybreak Town. One of them was contained within Ventus, and later took on the human identity Vanitas. One of them exited to chat with Luxu, and this one's status is unknown.
The remaining four attempted to force Player, Ephemera, and Skuld to open a portal out or they'd possess them and force them to do it. Player pretended to fall to darkness so Ephemera would open a gate to seal him away, and then sealed the exits himself, trapping the remaining four. Player then passed away from the fatal injuries Ephemera inflicted upon him. Player could choose to fall asleep and let his Chirithy devour his heart and become a Dream Eater, or choose to remain awake and pass on to the next world. Player chose the latter, and was reincarnated as Xehanort.||

Ok, personally, the Luxu thing kinda makes sense but the player thing is, in my opinion, super dumb. I really hope

Dark Road makes me accept the whole Player and Xehanort thing

 

people should've been pissed at him when he decided chi was canon, then. if they only now get pissed, they haven't been paying attention

not sure how this game retroactively affects the quality of kh3, though

that's a bit of a stretch

Player 100%= Xehanort. Their hearts're just fused, but Xehanort is his own person; he only has Player's memories

Ok that makes a bit better. Granted I still don't fully understand what happened so I should probably reserve my judgement for after I watch it. But from hearing what you guys are saying, it sounds dumb
