The main reason for that was I believe both Dilan and Aeleus' voice actors pasted away in JP and they wanted to give respect to those characters, same reason why Phil didn't talk in KH3

And why would he use his sitar as a weapon with another artist who also has an instrument for a weapon?

Ah. I hadn’t considered the JP side of it. I know the English VA for Phil is over 80 years old so I just figured that had something to do with him not returning.

Phil's JP VA had passed away prior to KH3. Xaldin and Lexaeus's VAs are both alive and still do voice over work
