Yeah, I don't know why Square won't try to do physical KH1.5, 2.5, and 2.8 releases on the Switch. I understand why Kingdom Hearts III is a stream-only game, but the others shouldn't have the same problem.

Sora would keep a range of fighting skills. *summoning keyblade, but not know who Riku and everyone else is. If time passes enough he would have a new group of friends in Quadratum, then Riku's job would be to help regain his memories.

There do seem to be multiple Dream Eater spirit types like Chirithy, Riku, the Union Cross pets and the DDD ones.
My guess is by the time of DDD Dream Eaters created a sort of ecosystem and food chain in the sleeping worlds.

i think chirithy were more artificial but still made from similar material of the other spirits

chirithy also transform into the ddd variant later on

while the ddd variant just have that form
