People seemed terrified of the Heartless in the trailer, so it's very likely that nothing like that exists there.

It's a kind of visceral terror that indicates fear of something new and unknown.

because what we see are not the standard heartless we encountered in KH

their appearance is more transparent and not as dark

so the stuff we will fight in quadratum may be normal enemies just different name

Heartless vs Demons

considering people can refer to the same thing with different names, they may be familiar with it and people like yozora fight the un-named beings which resemble heartless

The Heartless will always be a staple. I highly doubt they're going to change their name.

if you think back to other worlds when they are scared of the heartless you dont see the normal people saying "run heartless"

they reference enemies, bad guys,etc

its possible quadratum is very familiar with the enemies under a different name, and the fear on the trailer is just normal life

for the argument of they never seen heartless before, same argument exists of those enemies are common in that realm
