Either the battle of the bands or duelling banjos style

The main reason for that was I believe both Dilan and Aeleus' voice actors pasted away in JP and they wanted to give respect to those characters, same reason why Phil didn't talk in KH3

But which musician would Demyx have to fight against?

And why would he use his sitar as a weapon with another artist who also has an instrument for a weapon?

Or even their own singing voice?

Ah. I hadn’t considered the JP side of it. I know the English VA for Phil is over 80 years old so I just figured that had something to do with him not returning.

I still think Sora has the best JP VA

I mean Irino Miyu is also known for fudging Haku from Spirited Away

And when he isn’t fighting heartless or being a river spirit, he is known for producing really good music of different styles

Phil's JP VA had passed away prior to KH3. Xaldin and Lexaeus's VAs are both alive and still do voice over work

So I guess they just didn’t want to pay them to come in and say 3 lines of dialogue max

Either that or just couldn't get them in for recording for one reason or another
