Where is my boys origin story. :GRRR:

KH2 making so many things be mini games when they don't need to be :NotLikeTenshi: :NotLikeTenshi:

Trust me Goldy I get it- I'm tired of all the KH2 praise too lol

But it is just that good 😔

But yeah the worst of it is ReCoded but only by virtue of being the way that it is

KH3 tries and in some cases does a fairly good job in some cases
Monsters Inc vs Tangeled for example

KH3 does a better job of dividing its plot throughout the game

KH2 has the pacing of a heart attack

It has spikes followed by stretches of nothing, and the revisits feel a tad insulting and really didn't need to happen

Not gonna lie, you're the first person I've heard say that

And I have to agree if compared to KH2

Every world has overarching relevance to something in the universe

And marketing aside. Each world unveils a true Organization member

And there's plot relevant cutscenes after basically every world

KH2 spends a loooong time not doing much until HB2. With Xaldin in Beast's Castle being the prime exception

And even after HB2 it meanders until Twilight Town. Again the exception being Beast's Castle

KH2's worlds would have much better stories if they were just combined

There's no need to do the entire plot of the Lion King twice in one game

Or the worst aladdin movie stretched into two visits

Or Mulan twice but the second time it's an inexplicable dragon

Obviously not to say KH3 has absolutely godlike pacing or placement of events. But it has much stronger connective tissue throughout

I think that's fine at least cause it's like
Heartless boss of the world and all
But at least it messing with Soras head a bit is what's nice

Could have done both visits in one to and still have the state of Shan Yu almost stab old man

And be lik"oh snap we have to beat this dragon otherwise we lose the empire"

And none of thr fun gameplay that KH2 is known for is lost

Having Shan Yu become the dragon heartless (and throw in a line about Xigbar turning his army into the heartless we fight) would have also better foreshadowed the reveal at HB2.

Rather than Xaldin saying he wants to make Beast into a heartless and then nothing for... uh... 7 worlds

I also think Port Royal should have been combined with the Grim Reaper being Barbossa's heartless

This is exactly what I've been saying. Separating them just artificially lenghtens the game.

Yeah but people complained that the Disney world's in 3 were artificially long and that basically did what that suggestion was- so where's the happy medium lmao

This feels more like people just wanting to nit pick on 2 tbh

Video game fans are never happy, never satisfied.

KH fans are no different.

My main issue with KH2 is that it locks Thundaga behind an optional world, personally.

I like KH3's style. It made every world feel substantial. The Caribbean literally felt like a game unto itself!
