The game is drenched in this really enthrawling melancholic fantastical tone, almost to the spiritual degree. Makes it really nice to see and play.

The dive to the heart really sets the tone for the whole game

KH2 is similar in that regard, but it's victim to too much exposition

Yen Sid tells us all about nobodies right at the beginning of the game, it would be nice to have found out those details as the game went along.

In KH1, Yen Sid knew little about the heartless, and that made the player feel uneasy. In KH2, you find out everything in the very beginning.

The unknown is a fantastic narrative drive, as soon as you find out all the details about something it loses all its potential

I also can't stand KH2s yen sid exposition

Actually I hate yen sid

Unless the game plays a plotwist card, which KH2 kinda did but didn't

I feel like we're all just Yes-men.

I do think Mickey was at his best in KH2

He represented some of that unknown

For the first half at least

Yes men to what? Not trying to be rude I'm just interested

I liked that Mickey was a lot more present in the narrative than in KH1, it made KH2 fell even more like a direct continuation to KH1 by progressing on it.

KH2 also loses steam constantly. Since SDG don't have a story arc among themselves like in KH1, the Disney worlds lose a lot of plot importance and start feeling like filler.

Ah, it's so refreshing to gush about something KH related instead of constantly being on the offensive darkness

Probably yes-man to Yen Sid, doing what he asks to.

Which we were gonna do anyways.

When playing as Sora, he kinda just went along with the first person he met, and did whatever Yen Sid said.

OK, this is super cheese, but if you get exp walker, and keep you left stick in a position to move your character in a circle, you can get infinite exp for doing nothing.

But I learned you don't gain exp for running against a wall

So you can't just hold down the stick and let the character walk for 15 hours and be at level 100.

Just run in a circle.

But then I actually have to use the controller lol

I put a pillow on mine and Aqua is still running in a circle.

Level 25 now, lol.
