But why did kairi build a raft when they have boats next to the dock

It was riku's idea tho.. lol

He ltierally suggested to buidl a raft

Because they are one person boats I think

they are, yeah, least that's how it seemed

maybe they were doing the kid thing, where they knew their parents would obviously go out and search for them

So they needed to leave their actual boats behin
