Spirit roar

An absolute godsend

What’s that?

Buffs all your damage by 50% for a bit

Spirit roar, aka, the only way to do damage in Lvl 1 crit in ddd

Oh hey, people are writing KH fanfics here! xD

I have a couple in progress myself– though two out of three are very NSFW. >.>

See stuff like this makes me want a villain JRPG where the ending is actually the villain winning and despair ruins the land

Messed up I know but it'd be truly a one of a kind RPG

like Berseria but actually with the bad ending

when done right Villains are really good in KH

heroes have a weird thing of being developed weirdly in KH due to the lack of character to character interactions

Yeah, every single game and movie these days ends with the good guys winning and bad guys losing. Can't the villains win for once? That's one of the reasons I like Avengers: Infinity War; the heroes lose and you can feel their despair.

Because that sucks and you just come out feeling like crap.

Why even play the game?

If there’s not at least some hope of things turning out better, why should I bother?

If I wanted to feel miserable and angry, I’d watch the news.

People who act like this genuinely anger me. Ask me this: was your reaction to Infinity War actually* that, or was it “how are the heroes *possibly gonna set things right at this point?!”.

Were you actually like “Yeah, I like when everything just goes to shit and there’s no hope. It makes me feel smart for knowing that everything sucks”?

Because that’s a kind of teenage edgelord cynicism I just cannot abide.

I know, because I thought like that when I was a teen. >__<

I guess that's rhe old fart in me wanting the pessimistic attitude to be shown more

See it's interesting because if done right, I'd walk away feeling super sentimental but also hopeful for my own self

I mean it's not like we have a lack of Heroes winning anytime soon, so it'd be neat to see the villain actually winning

It's like watching a movie that you know you're gonna be sad about. You know going in you're gonna be sad, so why watch it then?

But the reality is yeah it makes you sad but the journey of that sadness was so enticing that you couldn't help but watch

Now just flip that into a bad guy story

It’s funny to say “can the villains win for once?” in regards to KH because Days and BBS exist in which it might be hard to say that they won per se but the heroes definitely did no come out on top in either of those stories, even if they were set before other events and you know that majority of the other characters are alright at the time, the ones who were the focus in those 2 games suffered a cruel fate at the time for sure

See, BBS is good because yeah, the ending was sad, but there was still a glimmer of hope.

Yeah, but even in tragedies, there is something accomplished or learned that suggests things can be better in the future.

Yeah BBS is a great example, but I kinda want more

Even more than this lol

Again idk how it'd work but, it'd still be cool imo

Take a look at a few classics. Romeo and Juliet– yeah, the title characters die, but ultimately the feud between their families comes to an end, because they realize that their drama caused the death of their children. Oedipus Rex– yeah, the title character’s life is destroyed utterly, but everyone else can now live free of the curse that was brought upon them by his wrongdoings.

If absolutely nothing is gained from it, I would not consider that a story worth consuming.

Because what value is there in wallowing in self-pitying misery?

Of course it'd get a lot of backlash for those very reasons, but even so l

Lol*

Good question, I hope the mad lad who writes something one day could figure it out haha

Again: I get enough abject misery in the real world. And even then, there’s hope and good to be found.

Hell, that’s the whole point of KH! xD

the real problem is that we've pigeonholed these characters into "good" and "bad". like, they say everyone is the protagonist of their own story, but it's only the cartoon-ish villains who are written as "myah, i'm evil!"

if we dispensed with all of that, we could have people doing things because they think it's the right thing to do, not because it's good or because it's bad

(or even let them choose to do something they know is the wrong thing to do, since no one is perfect)
