Being a game developer is very rough

well it's kind of also saying that this game needs work but please give yourselves the itme to fix it instead of feeling committed to making one every year

like introducing more and more pokemon

and that the combat is completely broken

Well not true, I think a lot of small companies can be quite good because they have the ability to be good. They dont have the pressure that bigger companies have. Its a different kind of pressure for smaller ones but it doesn't lead to them churning out products every day or month or year.

the pro players made suggestions for the combat and balancing over the past years and game freak ignored them

Because bigger companies have shareholders and investors expecting certain things

and now suddenly they realize this

But, there's never a PERFECT company to work in

Indie companies work a bit different

The schedule is different and the budget would most likely be smaller too

as an example, Hellblade: Senuas Sacrifice was something they worked their asses of with their own budget throughout the whole thing and then self-published it

Game Freak totally messed up by doing bad design decisions, but the fanbase is weird as well bc no one did talk about these problems and gave feedback except for the pro players
